Gipsy allows straightforward interfacing between host computers and Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLC's). Any standard or bespoke serial or network protocol
can be used for communications to the host computer, whist the PLC
communications take place via the native PLC or PLC software protocol. Gipsy
hides the complexity of PLC communications, allowing the host to use an easy to
understand protocol such as XML for communications to PLC's.
